Everything you need for a salon-level press-on set at home: sizing for short or bitten nails, the glue technique that gets you two weeks of wear, and safe removal that keeps your natural nail intact.
Four steps, about fifteen minutes. Skipping the prep step is the number one reason a set pops off on day two.
Wash hands, push back cuticles, and buff the shine off the natural nail. Wipe each nail with the alcohol pad so glue grips instead of sliding.
Lay out all ten press-ons before you glue. Pick the tip that covers the nail bed wall-to-wall without pressing into the sidewalls — when in doubt, size down and file.
Apply a thin glue layer to the natural nail and a dot inside the tip. Set at a 45° angle at the cuticle, roll it down, then press firmly for 30 seconds to squeeze out air bubbles.
File the free edge to your shape, then avoid water for 1 hour. That cure window is the difference between a 3-day set and a 2-week set.
Short, bitten, or naturally small nail beds hold press-ons beautifully — the trick is sizing to width and choosing a tip with the right curve.
